This presentation will feature a faculty panel discussion on designing effective Canvas course sites. Faculty panelists will share strategies they use to make their courses clearer, more engaging, and easier for students to navigate. The conversation will highlight practical approaches such as organizing modules for consistency, streamlining navigation, incorporating tools that foster interaction, and creating homepages that set the tone for the course. Attendees will gain insights into how small design choices in Canvas can improve the learning experience and support student success.
A Bite of Learning is a lunchtime speaker series about how technology can support teaching and learning. The series is sponsored by the Harvey Mudd College Office of Computing and Information Services (CIS) in collaboration with the Library of The Claremont Colleges. All faculty, staff, and students of The Claremont Colleges are invited. Presentations are informal, with plenty of time for discussion and Q-and-A.
Hope to see you there!
